As Douk design and build every aspect of our snowboards in our small factory in the Midlands UK, having 100% control over every board we make means we are able to offer you the option for a fully customised snowboard. We do all our printing in house, so if you have always wanted to be different and have your very own graphics designs on your snowboard that is something we can do for you at Douk.
If you don't have the facility to create you own design but have an idea of what you want take a look at our Designers Gallery who are on hand to put together the design that you are looking for. Have a look at our custom gallery to see what we have done previously or just get in contact and we can tell you more about it.
Just follow our simple guide and we will get to work building you a new snowboard with the design you want
1. Design Template
We have PDF's of a snowboard templates for you to use as a guide when designing your board so you work out were best to place your design, click on the link or email us @ firstname.lastname@example.org and we will send you one over.
When you do create your design make it bigger than actual board 4 cm longer and at lest 2 cm wider . During printing and construction we get a little shrinkage and movement so we want to make sure your design covers the whole board and there are no blank bits.
You send your design in like this, bigger than it needs to be.
Then by the time we finish your board, it has all the parts of the design you want on it.
We highly recommend you get the image as high a resolution as possible 300dpi (dots per inch) we have had great results with a lesser resolution, but the higher the better. If the images is not as big as the board size you want but have a high resolution e.g. 1200dpi can be stretched 4x bigger so it is then around 300dpi.
4. File format
We have had images sent in many formats and will do our best to work with what you send. Our preferred file format is Ai as we work manly in CorelDraw and Photoshop. other formats we recommend are PDF's, TIFF's JPG's,
5. Image style
There have been many different styles of images sent in but most popular is vector base images, we have had scans of had drawings photographs of paintings, images from stock photo websites.
We print in CMYK but what you see on a monitor is in RGB (looks brighter than CMYK) we will always try our best to match the colours of your design, this can not always be guaranteed as devise/programs/monitors etc. can alter colour so what we see might not be exactly the same as what you have at your end. If have a specific colour you need please send a sample and we will do a test print and send it back to you.
If you want custom size or fully custom shaped snowboard we are able to do that prices start from £185
If you would like any other customising like flex carbon fibre etc. please get in touch to discuss your requirements.

Image position: This is a representation of your design layout which may not be exact on the finished product. Due to the way snowboards are constructed and the printing processes, there can be shrinkage and movement in the material. We must allow for movements and final positioning will be as close as possible to requested but is not guaranteed.
Colour: Every monitor/device shows colour in images differently. What you see on your device will vary from the finished product. The image will always look brighter on a device than the final print, we will always do our best to match the colour in a design but cannot guarantee this. Please print your design as this may give you some idea of the final colour, however, again this may not be accurate as every printer is set to print colours differently. We accept no returns on the basis of colour differences – if an exact match of colour is required, we require you to provide us a physical colour sample at time of ordering.
Custom Order conformation: When you place your order for a custom snowboard and your design is finalised you will be provided with a preview and break down form of your snowboard order. Once you have confirmed the details your board will be placed into production and cannot be adjusted thereafter. There are no returns or refunds on custom snowboards once you have confirmed and placed your order. Custom snowboards are covered under our standard 2 year warranty for any manufacturing defaults. http://www.douksnow.com/warranty-information.html Colour and Image location do not apply to Warranty. Payment represents acceptance of these terms and you are bound to the agreement. Alterations: if you require any alterations to the design or snowboard build after conformation of this form there will be an additional charge if the board has not already entered its production cycle
